Last year at this time, we were super duper busy preparing for my brother's wedding. I was up to my neck in fabric for the fabric flower brooches that was made for every single guest. I think i made about 700 flowers altogether, by myself. Yes that was a very very stressful period.
This year, I am up to my neck again, preparing (gathering ideas rather) for Adam's first birthday. We have decided on the theme (Jungle/Safari) just because the other day we were at Spotlight and both fabric and scrapbook paper were on sale. hehe. Coming up with names and trying to do stuff on a restricted budget ain't easy when you're in a new country and you have no clue where the bargains are.
But we shall see how it goes. I'm thinking of maybe a zabra cake/cupcakes and chocolate cake as the main birthday cake? What say you? Since we haven't got a printer, most of the stuff would probably have to be done by hand (yeay!) and I was thinking of getting these precut cardboard pic frames and wrapping them in paper/fabric and putting a frieze of Adam from day 1 to 12 months.
The only issue we have now is where to place the table coz we are a no-shoes inside home, and since we'll be having the neighbours in, we dunno how they will react to that.
